An import goods exploration hall was opened by the bonded service branch of Zhanjiang Port (Group) Co Ltd at the Zhanjiang Bonded Logistics Center (B type) on June 10.

Since the city received approval from the State Council to establish a comprehensive pilot zone for cross-border e-commerce in May, the company has been planning to set up the exploration hall. It aims to promote the business model integrating bonded services and new retail, as well as to build a business platform for cross-border e-commerce.

The exploration hall adopts the methods of online sales and delivery, as well as offline exhibitions and experiences, which are expected to expand the marketing channels of bonded import goods.

To date, the areas for duty-paid goods and bonded commodities have been set up at the exploration hall, exhibiting a variety of goods like dairy products, cosmetics, snacks, drinks, as well as mother and baby products.

The Zhanjiang Bonded Logistics Center was established in 2016. It is able to carry out bonded businesses, including bonded warehousing and bonded simple processing.
