The eighth World Zhejiang Entrepreneurs Convention opened at the Zhejiang Great Hall of the People in Hangzhou on Nov 6, bringing together 1,800 guests from around the world.

Attendance rose 20 percent from the previous convention. More than 1,600 participants were Zhejiang entrepreneur representatives.

More than 6 million Zhejiang entrepreneurs operate across China, while over 2 million are active in more than 180 countries and regions.

At the opening ceremony, representatives of Zhejiang companies featured in five national private enterprise rankings for 2026 received plaques. Zhejiang led the country in the number of companies on each list for the third consecutive year.
