The 2026 International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP) World Photographers Conference, the 20th China International Photographic Art Exhibition, and the 7th International Photography Symposium opened on Oct 24 in Lishui, Zhejiang province.

FIAP President Riccardo Busi said China is a dynamic force in global photography and that Lishui has become an important international hub where photographers exchange ideas and experience.

The 20th China International Photography Art Exhibition, one of China's longest-running and largest international photo exhibitions, received submissions from 125 countries and regions.

The 7th International Photography Symposium, themed "World in Focus," brings together 30 experts to discuss image art and public engagement.

During the event, a personal retrospective of Gregory Crewdson, equipment and gallery shows, an image fair, youth support programs, and themed photo tours will be held.

Since the first Lishui Photography Festival in 2004, the city has held 12 photography festivals, seven international photography art exhibitions, seven International Photography Symposiums, and three World Photographers Conferences, establishing cultural-exchange and cooperation relationships with more than 50 countries and regions.
