The "Lanting Forest Breathing" 2026 National Fitness Yoga Championship, held from Oct 24 to 26 at Lanruohu Scenic Area in Shaoxing's Pingshui town, drew nearly 400 fitness yoga athletes from yoga associations, universities, studios, and clubs nationwide to compete amid the region's lush landscapes.

Located on Kuaiji Mountain, Lanruohu Scenic Area boasts 9,930 negative oxygen ions per cubic centimeter. An official from the Social Sports Guidance Center of the General Administration of Sport of China said fitness yoga pursues harmony of body and mind, and holding competitions in a pristine natural environment helps athletes relax and fully immerse themselves in the practice.

A leading official of Pingshui town also said that the town has introduced activities such as yoga, cycling, and hiking, gaining recognition in outdoor sports circles.
