A full industry chain project for Lihua Xianju chickens has been launched in Xianju county, Taizhou, Zhejiang province. Once fully operational, it is expected to generate an annual output value of over 800 million yuan ($118.56 million).

The project's breeding and hatchery facility is located in Duishan village, Dazhan township. The facility is planned to raise 300,000 breeding chickens and produce more than 30 million chicks annually, making it a key part of the project.

Funded and operated by Jiangsu Lihua Foods Group, a leading yellow-feathered chicken producer in China, the project will include a feed plant with an annual capacity of 240,000 metric tons, a slaughtering and processing facility with a capacity of 30,000 tons per year, and breeding farms covering at least 500,000 square meters.

Construction is expected to begin by the end of the year, with operations slated to launch in 2028. Once fully up and running, the facility is projected to produce over 10 million Xianju chickens annually.

Beyond economic benefits, the project is expected to support rural development by creating more than 400 direct jobs and involving over 200 farming households in cooperative breeding programs. Farmers involved are likely to see higher annual incomes, leveraging the company's existing cooperation model.
