Huangshan is accelerating its drive to become a key hub in China's auto parts supply chain by integrating into Anhui province's new energy vehicle (NEV) industry cluster. From January to August 2025, the city's 82 large-scale auto parts enterprises achieved an output value exceeding 7 billion yuan ($982.83 million), up 30.1 percent year-on-year.
Industry leaders such as Changhui Auto Electrical System and Huangshan Automaster Electric have become powerful engines of innovation and production, exceeding outputs of 1.5 billion yuan and 450 million yuan in 2024, with annual growth rates of 40 percent and 150 percent, respectively.
Huangshan is now home to more than 110 auto parts enterprises, supported by an industry alliance and supplier cultivation mechanism that strengthens collaboration across the value chain.
Distinct regional clusters are also taking shape, contributing nearly 87 percent of the city's total industry output: Xiuning county focuses on automotive electronics, Huangshan High-tech Zone develops bearings and smart connectivity components, Huizhou district specializes in heat dissipation and interior materials, and Shexian county produces chassis parts.
Meanwhile, local manufacturers are expanding their global footprint. Products made in Huangshan are now exported to countries across North America, Europe, Asia, and West Africa, with total exports reaching 216 million yuan in the first eight months of 2025, up 28.7 percent year-on-year.
Driven by innovation, Huangshan's auto parts industry is rapidly shifting from traditional manufacturing to smart manufacturing. With an integrated chain spanning production, export, consumption, and services, the sector is powering the city's economic growth.
