On Oct 19, the China–Germany Youth Table Tennis Friendship Match took place in Huangshan district, bringing together young players from Anhui's Huiyou Ping-pong and a table tennis association from Lower Saxony, Germany.
The table tennis event carries friendship across the table and continues the longstanding partnership between Anhui province and Lower Saxony.
More than 20 young athletes faced off in a series of intense yet friendly matches. German players impressed with their power and precision, while the Chinese side countered with agility and quick transitions.

More than a sporting event, the match served as a bridge of understanding between youth from both countries. It also celebrated the enduring friendship between Anhui and Lower Saxony — the first pair of sister provinces established between China and Germany in 1984.
"Through this event, our friendship continues to grow stronger in areas like sports, culture, and youth," said Christian Sommer, vice president of the German Table Tennis Federation (DTTB) and CEO of the German Centre Shanghai.
