The first direct flight between Hanoi, Vietnam, and Huangshan, a Chinese tourist city, took off on Oct 10 — marking a new chapter in cross-border tourism and cultural exchange between the two countries.
Just days later, on Oct 14, the first Vietnamese delegation of about 100 members arrived in Yixian county to explore the heart of Huizhou culture through an immersive visit.
Their first stop was Xidi village, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its well-preserved ancient architecture.

The group then visited Hongcun village, where whitewashed walls and black-tiled roofs reflected on the shimmering water.
A lively lantern dance performance by local villagers added warmth and energy to the evening, showcasing the living spirit of Huizhou's traditional culture.

The new Huangshan–Hanoi air route, coupled with this cultural visit, has become a milestone for tourism cooperation and a gateway to Southeast Asian markets.
As flights become regular, more international travelers are expected to discover Yixian's timeless charm and the enduring beauty of Huizhou culture.
