In August, Huizhou district, Huangshan, Anhui province, hosted the main event of the third "520" Anhui Culture and Tourism Consumption Season for Inbound Tourism and the 2025 China-Thailand Tourism Carnival, attracting international guests like Prinat Apirat, Consul General of the Royal Thai Consulate-General in Shanghai.
The events coincided with the 50th anniversary of China-Thailand diplomatic ties, highlighting a bridge of friendship and an international tourism model.
Huizhou district has presented two flagship destinations. Dalingshan Tourist Resort offers cultural experiences such as folk handicrafts and cultural parades, while Xixinan village showcases nature-focused attractions like sycamore forests and hot air balloon rides.
Both sites have preserved their thousand-year-old Huizhou-style architecture, including dwellings and pavilions with white walls and green titles. Activities ranging from intangible heritage workshops to modern leisure options blend cultural heritage with innovative tourism formats.
The Huizhou fish-shaped lanterns in Xixinan village attract many international tourists with customs like lantern parades symbolizing year-end abundance, providing visitors with an engaging cultural experience.
Efforts to improve services, including financial convenience for inbound travelers and expanded international flight access, further enhance the visitor experience.
As Huizhou district embraces internationalization, it invites global visitors to experience its timeless charm — where culture, nature, and creativity meet.
