This summer, groups of French high school students embarked on an eco-learning adventure in Huangshan, where sustainable innovation blends with natural beauty.
At the Xihai Ecological Base, they engaged in innovative recycling projects — seeing discarded items transformed into gardens, plant walls, and sustainable bricks.

The highlight was an interactive workshop that made sustainability tangible. Students chose molds and poured recycled glass shards to create artistic flowerpots. This activity provided a clear understanding of recycling and also encouraged creativity and teamwork.

Using compost derived from kitchen waste, they planted lilies and inscribed personal messages on flowerpots, representing the strengthening relationship between China and France. What started as an environmental lesson evolved into a meaningful exchange of cultures.

Amid Huangshan's pristine mountains and clear blue skies, students not only studied the principles of recycling but also enjoyed transforming waste into art. The visit combined education, creativity, and cultural exchange, inspiring them with Huangshan's dedication to green development.
