Huangshan hosted the "Nihao! China" Asian Tour Operators from Aug 15-18, welcoming leading tour operators from Thailand, Vietnam, South Korea, and Sri Lanka.
Co-organized by the Anhui Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Trip.com Group, the event featured immersive cultural inspections and strategic talks aimed at restoring international visitor numbers.
Delegates experienced tailored routes designed to reshape perceptions — ascending via the cable car to Mount Huangshan's North Sea Scenic Area, followed by night tours and Huizhou-style performances.
"This hands-on fish lantern painting is magical! Vietnamese travelers will adore it," said Vu Nam Phuong, CEO of Southern Vietnam Tourism. In Xixinan village, Thailand's Sunsky Tour GM Sirinda Eaksatien captured wetland vistas she dubbed "the East's Emerald City", while Jang Suseok, a South Korean social media influencer, praised Hongcun and Xidi's nightscapes as "filter-free cinematic masterpieces."
During the Anhui Inbound Tourism (Asia) Symposium on Aug 17, delegates highlighted Huangshan's unique cultural-natural appeal while urging enhanced bilingual signage and internationally tailored services. Fang Ying, vice chairperson of Huangshan Municipal Committee of the CPPCC, outlined expanded flight routes and entry discounts, stressing "dual efforts" in global outreach and inviting experts. She emphasized deeper cross-border cooperation to overcome industry challenges, utilizing Huangshan's growing inbound tourism momentum.
