Over 130 international students and faculty members from universities across Anhui province began an immersive cultural study tour at Mount Huangshan Mountain on May 17.
Organized by the Anhui International Students Education Management Association and hosted by Huangshan University and Anhui University of Technology, this event offers participants a firsthand experience of China's natural wonders and cultural heritage.
Under crystal-clear skies, the group ascended via cable car, witnessing the mountain's legendary "four wonders" - peculiar pines, dreamlike clouds, grotesque rocks, and hot springs.
At the Jade Screen Scenic Area, students gathered around the 1,000-year-old Welcoming Guest Pine, a national treasure whose outstretched branches symbolize Huangshan's hospitality. "The air itself feels poetic here," said Pham Thi Hoai Thu, a Vietnamese student from Huaibei Normal University, capturing countless photos of the pine.
The mountain's integration of ecological preservation and tourist services impressed many. "The trails are as thoughtfully designed as the landscapes are breathtaking," said Russian student Dainova from Anhui Normal University, who is already planning to share her photos globally.
Huangshan serves as a central highlight of the tour, offering students the opportunity to engage directly with China's rich ecological and cultural heritage. The journey commenced with visits to the historic Huizhou villages of Xidi and Hongcun, where participants gained valuable insights into traditional architecture and local customs.
