Huangshan's tea-themed adventure for May Day holiday

Updated: April 28, 2025

This May Day holiday, let the fragrance of spring tea guide you through Huangshan's misty mountains and ancient villages. From picking fresh leaves to mastering age-old brewing techniques, immerse yourself in the art of Chinese tea culture. Here's how to savor every moment.

1. Tea Immersion: Hands-On Learning

Location: Sanchong Village Tea Study Center (Tunxi district)

Nestled in a 90 percent-forested "oxygen bar", this center offers tea picking, roasting, and ceremony rituals workshops. Walk through emerald plantations and connect with Huizhou's tea heritage.

Step into a stone-walled museum where antique tea tools and photos narrate the story of tea. Sip the orchid-scented brew and taste centuries of craftsmanship.

3. Tea & Scenery Fusion

Location: Xie Yu Da Tea Culture Museum (Huizhou district)

Pick Huangshan Maofeng leaves, learn traditional frying techniques, then relax in a Hui-style pavilion with mountain views - a perfect tea-themed afternoon.
