Greater Huangshan Region has made remarkable progress in various sectors, including tourism, products, health resorts, events, and transportation, local authority announced on Oct 11.
The introduction of the "Greater Huangshan Region" by Anhui province represents a significant initiative to develop an innovation, exhibition, sports events, health, and cultural service cluster in the cities of Huangshan, Chizhou, Anqing, and Xuancheng.
The region possesses abundant resources and is poised to become an international destination for eco-tourism and recreational tourism. It is distinguished by 227 A-level spots and 447 historical villages, solidifying its status as a prominent tourist destination.
The project started construction in March this year and is anticipated to reach completion by 2033.
Through collaborative efforts among the four cities, 15 premium tourist routes have been developed, emphasizing cultural exploration, wellness, and educational tours. Additionally, 50 unique Greater Huangshan Region souvenirs have been introduced, along with a food guide showcasing 100 regional delicacies, aimed at promoting high-quality agricultural products.

The region has promoted 50 distinctive souvenirs and developed a food guide featuring 100 regional delicacies. Additionally, they have introduced the top 100 special agricultural products, highlighting high-quality agricultural products like Anhui tea and traditional Chinese herbal medicine.
With its natural landscapes, abundant resources, favorable climate, and transportation accessibility, the region is an ideal destination for leisure, wellness retreats, and business events. It offers 60 health resorts and 100 event venues, providing a platform for diverse activities.
The area hosts top-tier events such as the 2024 Greater Huangshan Region International Ecological Car Rally, attracting visitors with discounted packages and local recommendations while showcasing its beauty and rich cultural heritage.

Future plans include 20 transportation projects aimed at enhancing connectivity, including expressways and high-speed railways. The development of four interconnected tourism roads seeks to blend natural and cultural landscapes, further enhancing the region's appeal.
