There's plenty of excitement after the 26th Huangshan Tourism Festival kicked off on Sept 26, with the extravaganza set to run to December.
With over 200 vibrant cultural and tourism events and 21 featured activities, it will present a special autumn feast centering on Great Huangshan – a marketing concept to develop the city as a world-class tourism destination.
In one of the events, attendees are promised a journey through the centuries as they join the Shexian County Chinese Style Garden Party, which will take place at Huizhou ancient city, located in Huangshan city, during Sept 30 - Oct 7.
Elsewhere, the combination of e-sports passion and innovative village evenings will present the Millennium Huizhou Charm: Elite Gathering autumn village competition between September and November in the city's Huizhou district.
Adding to the fun, the Huangshan Youth Cultural and Arts Week will take place on Oct 1-7 at Liyang in Alley in Tunxi district. Meanwhile, the second Sports and Leisure Tourism Season invites you to enjoy wonderful moments of sports on Oct 1-27 in Huangshan district.
If you like drinking tea, the An Tea Night Dew Festival offers a poetic encounter between tea and nature in October at Luxi town, in Qimen county. What's more, the Qiyun Mountain Top Scholar Cultural Festival invites you to savor the cultural glory of 1,000 years of Huizhou from October to November at Xiuning county's Qiyun Mountain.
Then the 20th China Huangshan Mountaineering Competition will witness the bravery and perseverance of adventurers on Nov 3. You can also explore the country's beauty through the lens at the 18th Rural Photography Exhibition.
From rice field art to folk music, from rural competitions to seasonal village evenings, Huangshan's cultural and tourism activities have been organized to be seamlessly interconnected, promising lots of fun and frivolity this autumn.
