Sept 22 marked the arrival of the Autumn Equinox as well as the 7th annual Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival, bringing a wave of celebrations across Huangshan to mark this season of bountiful harvest.
In the villages of Liyang and Bangxia in Tunxi district, the 2024 Tunxi Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival and Special Agricultural Products Exhibition took place at the Xiaying International Camping Ground.

Local residents celebrated the festival through a diverse range of activities and festivities, many of which showcased the fruitful results of rural vitalization.
On Sept 20, Sankou town in Huangshan district hosted an artistic performance to celebrate the festival, allowing visitors and villagers to immerse themselves in the joy of the harvest.
In Jiusha village, Shexian county, visitors were treated to a variety of traditional performances. A vibrant display of crops filled the drying field - golden corn, fiery red peppers, plump pumpkins - each fruit bearing the hard work and hopes of the farmers. Visitors were able to help dry the crops and take photos, making for a unique autumn memory.

On Sept 21, residents of Chatou village in Sanyang town, Shexian county, celebrated the festival with a rice-cutting competition, attracting numerous tourists.
On Sept 22, the main venue for the festival, located in Huangshan, hosted the Egg Fried Rice Long Table Banquet in Anling town, Qimen county, bringing a joyous autumn feast to participants.
