On Sept 12, the Huangshan Cultural and Tourism Promotion Conference entitled "Hello, Greater Huangshan" took place in Yixian county.
Representatives of over 200 overseas travel agents from 29 countries and regions were invited to attend. Huangshan’s government leaders participated in the event.
Ye Jianqiang, a standing committee member and head of the publicity department of the CPC Huangshan municipal committee said, "We are accelerating the construction of Greater Huangshan into a world-class leisure and health tourism destination. We look forward to collaborating with friends from various countries in multiple fields, promoting high-quality development, and creating a better future together."
Amy Norton, special envoy and director of the Derbyshire Tourism Bureau in the UK, expressed during her speech, "Huangshan is a truly beautiful place, and we eagerly look forward to exploring this extraordinary region in the days to come, promoting economic development, building cultural bridges, connecting people from different backgrounds, and gaining a deeper understanding of the cultural values of both regions."
During the event, officials from the Huangshan municipal culture and tourism bureau presented the Huangshan cultural and tourism promotion, Yixian county showcased its cultural and tourism offerings, and Hongcun Scenic Area was highlighted. Performances of local folk songs and dances and paper-cutting fashion shows were on.
The promotion event also featured displays of intangible cultural heritage creative products such as lacquerware, bamboo carvings, red tea, Huizhou opera and prints, along with local specialties like wine and desserts.
