The Second Deep Space Exploration (Tiandu) International Conference commenced on Sept 5, in Tunxi district, Huangshan, Anhui province. The conference, themed "International Lunar Research Station — Consult, Build, Share," focuses on collaborative efforts for the construction and advancement of the lunar research station.

The opening ceremony featured notable speakers, including Li Guoping, chief engineer of the China National Space Administration (CNSA); Wu Weiren, chief scientist of the Deep Space Exploration Laboratory; and astronaut Zhai Zhigang. Also addressing the conference were Christine F. Hitchens, executive director of the International Astronautical Federation, and other international dignitaries via video, including Alti Hora-Maini from the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs and Sherif Sidki of the Egyptian Space Agency.
Significant agreements were made, including a cooperation agreement between CNSA and the Senegalese Space Agency. The Deep Space Exploration Laboratory signed memorandums of understanding with ten research institutions from Switzerland, Serbia, UAE, and Indonesia. Additionally, eight universities and research institutes were unveiled as new partners in the Deep Space Exploration Joint Laboratories.

The conference, spanning three days, welcomed around 100 international guests and 300 domestic experts. Discussions will cover engineering, technology, science, resources, regulations, and education related to the lunar research station, aiming to foster international collaboration and advance the peaceful use of space.
