Li Peisheng, a sanitation worker at Huangshan Scenic Area skillfully navigates the cliffs using just a rope to collect litter. For over 20 years, Li has climbed and rappelled daily, covering an impressive 1,800 kilometers of rope length.
Since the 1980s, Huangshan Scenic Area has implemented a scientific system to monitor and protect the famous Guest-Greeting Pine. In 2010, Hu Xiaochun became the 19th dedicated guardian of this iconic tree. Hu meticulously keeps a daily journal, recording every detail of the tree's condition. To date, he has written over 90 journals, totaling about 1.6 million words.
Huangshan balances protection and development, striving for both economic and ecological benefits. This approach ensures a beautiful China with enduring green mountains, clear waters, and fresh air, fostering harmony between humans and nature.
