The Chizhou-Huangshan High-Speed Railway celebrated its one-month opening on May 26, marking a successful inaugural month. This vital railway line has safely transported over 300,000 passengers, averaging more than 10,000 travelers daily, highlighting its role in enhancing regional connectivity.
Opened on April 26, the high-speed railway features four key stations: Chizhou Station, Jiuhuashan Station, Huangshan West Station, and Yixian East Station. Jiuhuashan Station and Huangshan West Station are newly constructed with expansion work done in Chizhou Station. Two new stations have collectively handled nearly 130,000 passengers, showcasing their crucial role in serving the regional travel needs in southern Anhui province.
Shanghai Railway Bureau Group operated up to 24 high-speed train services daily on this route. The travel times are considerably shortened as traveling from Huangshan West Station to Chizhou only costs 30 minutes, and Huangshan West Station to Hefei South Station one hour and 53 minutes.
The train schedules are looking forward to adjustment in the third quarter based on market demand and passenger flow patterns. These adjustments aim to increase passenger traffic. This expected growth is anticipated to further enhance regional integration and drive economic development.
The railway also provides efficient travel options to Huangshan and supports the broader goal of tourism resource integration of Greater Huangshan Scenic Area.
