In an effort to showcase the scenic beauty and cultural richness of Qiyun Mountain in Huangshan, Anhui province, to the world, the national sketching competition and invitational exhibition of noted artists was launched on April 9 at the Silk Alliance Art Museum in Qiyun town, Xiuning county, Huangshan.
Artists from across China, along with representatives from the China Artists Association, Silk Road Cities Alliance (SRCA), and Singapore International Cultural Arts Federation, gathered at Qiyun Mountain to commence this cultural endeavor.
From April 9 to 12, artists immersed themselves in sketching sessions at Qi Yunshan, capturing its pastoral landscapes and striking rock formations with vivid colors. Their artwork aims to portray the essence and allure of Qiyun Mountain's natural beauty.

Selected award-winning pieces from this event will be showcased internationally, thanks to the Silk Road Cities Alliance, in locations such as France, Italy, Singapore, and Seattle, the United States. This initiative is set to amplify Qiyun Mountian's global cultural influence.
The Silk Alliance Art Museum, established in May 2023, serves as a hub for promoting cultural exchanges among renowned calligraphy and painting artists from China and abroad along the Silk Road, fostering cultural cooperation among cities linked by the Belt and Road Initiative.
The mountain, historically known as "Baiyue," is celebrated for its scenic grandeur, complementing Huangshan Mountain to the north in landscape. It has long been an inspiration for artists.
This event epitomizes Xiuning county's commitment to leveraging local cultural resources to bolster cultural tourism integration, projecting Huangshan onto the global stage, and enhancing the county's prominence and influence.
