A curtain-raiser entertainment and news conference to announce the raft of exciting activities to be held in Huangshan city - in East China's Anhui province during the upcoming Spring Festival - was held on Jan 27.
The event was held in Huizhou Ancient Town, located in Shexian county in Huangshan. It took place outdoors, to allow locals and tourists to have fun and learn about the upcoming activities program in detail.
The event featured lively performances of traditional Chinese lion and dragon dances.

There were also over 20 stalls selling handicrafts and other cultural and creative products of intangible cultural heritage.
Merchants dressed in fabulous hanfu – the traditional dress of the Han Chinese people – attracted a large number of tourists and citizens.

The news conference announced that Huangshan will host over 200 cultural and tourism events during the upcoming Spring Festival holiday. Five themed experience routes will be launched as well.
On Feb 2 to 4, Huangshan will host nearly 30 various events and stage rich entertainments in all its districts and counties.
