The Huangshan Mountain scenic area – located in Huangshan city, in Anhui province – has just handled the hustle and bustle of visitors coming back to it in their droves.
It happened during the recent New Year's holiday, following China's optimization of its COVID-19 control measures.
The scenic area saw the numbers of tourists increase significantly – a total of 22,000 during the three-day New Year's Day holiday, for a 68.36 percent increase year-on-year.

With temperatures plummeting, snowfalls turned the area into a glorious winter wonderland.

Hotels in the scenic area prepared rice cakes to welcome the hordes of visitors. In Chinese the word "rice cake" has the same pronunciation with the word "higher in a new year," which symbolizes good luck.

In addition, the Huangshan Mountain scenic area staff members bolstered their management and arranged sufficient numbers to be on duty, to provide tourists with high-quality services.
