Parks and streets across Zhuhai have been decorated to hail the upcoming Spring Festival, which falls on Jan 22, creating strong festive atmosphere for the Year of the Rabbit.

Flowers have been planted in a 6,800-sq-m (1.7-acre) area of Haibin Park in Xiangzhou to form three-dimensional landscapes and scenes.

Two sculptures in the shape of rabbits under heart-shaped arches have become a popular photo-taking spot among visitors. The dazzling acrylic boards sway gently in the breeze and bring out a sparkling visual effect.

Bougainvillea flowers are used to form the structures of a large hollowed-out Chinese-style lantern alongside a big colorful rabbit in the park's 2,000-sq-m (1/2-acre) central grassland space.

In Yeli Island Park, a total of 3,960 sq m (1 acre) of seasonal flowers have been grown. The entrance gate of the park features adorable rabbit sculptures with the Chinese character Fu (福, good luck) and golden coins.

Trails in Bailiandong (White Lotus Cave) Park in Jida have been decorated with colorful flowers and decorations with rabbit elements. Two distinctive settings have been built at the entrance of the park's east gate and the grassland area.

In addition, red lanterns, colorful windmills, and rabbits can be seen throughout Banzhang Mountain Forest Park in Gongbei, while over 11,400 sqm (2.8 acres) of flowers have been planted alongside Zhuhai Avenue.

In Jinwan District, a 160,000-sqm (40-acre) large flower field at Pingsha Rice Paddy Plantation Demonstrative Base has now become an ideal place for visitors to admire the blooming galsang flowers and enjoy camping and parent-child activities.
