Jinwan prepares tourism routes, events for National Day holiday
Three theme tourism routes were launched by Jinwan District to provide rich cultural and tourism experiences for residents during the upcoming National Day holiday, which will run from Oct 1 to 7.
Jinwan enjoys a profound humanistic history and is the hometown of Lin Weimin, first chair of the All-China Federation of Trade Unions. The "Red" Revolutionary Education Study Tour route, which includes the Lin Wei-min & Early Workers Movement Historical Relics Showroom, By-Health Biotechnology's transparent factory, and the "Skyline" Culture Exhibition in Jinwan Aviation New Town, is suitable for families.
Of note, the five-day "Skyline" Culture Exhibition is a special National Day holiday event that will take place on the 35th floor of Jinwan's landmark building Huafa International Business Center. Nine activities, such as architecture popularization and Sanzao Paper-Cutting lessons, will be held to enable participants learn more about intangible cultural heritage items while having a bird's eye view of Jinwan, Xiangzhou, Doumen, and Hengqin. Interested participants must register on the WeChat account of "珠海金湾" (Zhuhai Jinwan) beforehand.

Camping has been a popular trend among people interested in leisure tourism and Jinwan is home to many places suitable for camping, such as Moon Lake Camping Base, Jinshan Park, as well as Damenkou Wetland Park.
Newly built this year, Moon Lake Camping Base has now launched brand-new barbecue services for visitors during the upcoming holiday, according to a staff member of the base.
The base is close to Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport and is only a 12-minute drive away from Yangguang (Sunshine) Curve Beach. It is equipped with complete camping facilities and various kinds of entertainment projects, including fishing, role-playing board games, as well as outdoor films.
The 40-m (44-yd) slide in Ocean Spring Resort has been particularly attractive to visitors who want to relieve pressure from life and work. The resort has also opened new entertainment programs tailored for children, such as racing with miniature pigs, feeding alpacas, and riding ponies.
After visiting the resort, people can drop by the nearby Huashidai Orchid Base to get a close look at the colorful orchids and even buy one for their home to enjoy for years.
A Jinwan official noted that preparing for the tourist flow during the National Day holiday will be a good trial for them to prepare for the upcoming travel peak brought by the 14th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China), which will take place both online and on-site at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center in Jinwan from Nov 8 to 13.
Training on increasing service capacity and quality of Jinwan's tourism industry was also recently held at Ocean Spring Resort, gathering more than 60 representatives of 20 units.
