Planning permission for Project B in Phase II of the Zhuhai Airport Comprehensive Transportation Hub project, also known as Phase I of the Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport Hotel project, has been recently released by the Zhuhai Natural Resources Bureau along with its construction targets and latest renderings.

The 11-story hotel project will have floorage of 77,637.08 sqm (19 acres). Two underground floors, covering 265,87.12 sqm (6.6 acres), will be used for a transfer hall and commercial areas. A total of 366 parking spaces will also be available, of which 350 will be underground.

The latest renderings show that the hotel's overall design has blue grey as its dominant hue, while the project's whole architectural style will feature coastline characteristics, resembling rhythmic crease lines to create a pleasant environment. Flying gestures of petrels will be integrated into the design of the hotel's exterior to make the building's appearance more dynamic.

Beijing Palatial Hotel Management is currently undertaking the consultation and management services of the project. The enterprise has provided such services for several Zhuhai hotels before, including Zhuhai Jiuzhou Ritz-Carlton and Gree Dong'ao Marriot Hotel.

Located north of the new "Seabird" Terminal II of Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, the Zhuhai Airport Comprehensive Transportation Hub is a major project that will help the city build a national comprehensive transportation hub. 

With total floorage of 584,824.74 sqm (144.51 acres), the project will be built in three phases, consisting of a transit center, commercial center, hotel, and offices. Upon operation, it will be a multi-dimensional, intelligent, and efficient air-land integrated urban hub complex with aerospace characteristics.

Construction on Section 1 of its Phase I started in 2021, covering the transportation hub in front of the terminal, commercial service center, supporting facilities, and tracks reserved for metro lines. Construction is expected to be completed in 2024 and operations will start in 2025, providing more convenient public transportation and commercial functions.

Phase II of the project, divided into projects A and B, mainly consists of a five-star hotel, commercial areas, and hotel-style offices. The project's third phase is currently under planning, which is expected to consist of offices and hotel-style apartments.
