The 100-day countdown to the 14th China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition (Airshow China), which will take place both online and on-site at the Zhuhai International Air Show Center in Jinwan from Nov 8 to 13, started on July 31.

Huang Zhihao, mayor of Zhuhai, said that this year's event will have more new cutting-edge exhibits, as well as more eye-catching dynamic equipment demonstrations and flight performances.

More than 720 enterprises from 42 countries like the United States, United Kingdom, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Austria, and Canada have confirmed their attendance, with all the 100,000-sqm (25-acre) indoor exhibition area reserved already.

The global prestigious enterprises that will showcase at the event include American heavyweights Boeing, Honeywell International, and GE Aviation, French company Airbus SE, as well as Brazil-based Embraer SA.

Domestic enterprises and industry associations, such as Eaton-SAMC (Shanghai) Aircraft Conveyance System Manufacturing, the Chamber of Commerce for High Technology & Equipment Industry, as well as Guangdong Military Industry Group, have expanded their exhibition scales. In addition, the Hong Kong delegation will participate in the event.

The Bayi (August 1st) Aerobatic Team of the Chinese People' Liberation Army Air Force and Hongying (Red Eagle) Aerobatic Team of Aviation University of Air Force will stage aerial shows, as well as flight demonstrations of popular aircrafts like the C919 single-aisle passenger airplane, the twin-engine regional jet ARJ 21, and the world's largest amphibious aircraft AG600.

The PLA Air Force will bring helicopters in service for flight demonstrations for the first time, while China North Industries Group Corporation and China South Industries Group Corporation will display new land equipment. 

High-end conferences, forums, exchanges, and roadshows will take place during the Airshow China event. The Zhuhai Forum will focus on new technologies, industries, and concepts in aviation to create a professional platform for exchanges and global cooperation. Distinctive activities, such as art and food festivals, will also be arranged to bring an interesting and diversified experience for exhibitors and attendees. 

In addition, an online business talk platform will be built for precise matchmaking of enterprises, while a special column for science popularization will open to enable attendees to feel the charm of aerospace science and technology.

Priority has been given to buses to ensure safe and smooth transportation for attendees of the airshow, with measures like setting up special lanes, selling limited numbers of tickets, and optimizing parking plans to be taken. 

A photography competition of this year's Airshow China also kicked off at the 100-day countdown event. Zheng Gengsheng, vice-chairman of the China Photographers Association, expressed hope that the competition can fully optimize the advantages of photography arts to tell the stories of China's aerospace industry in a more vivid and visual way and contribute to the promotion of the Airshow China event.

Special walkways will be available near the exhibition venue for photographers and a platform will be built on a nearby hill top so that photographers can capture splendid moments.

Solicitation of works for the competition will end on Nov 30, with 120 sets of works to be selected for the final exhibition.
