Industrial development in Zhuhai districts is flourishing in the first quarter of 2022, driven by accelerated project construction and more preferential policies.

Xiangzhou District has been offering firm support for cultivating specialized and special new small and medium-sized enterprises. Of note, 137 local SMEs were recognized and awarded with over 22 million yuan ($3.5 million) at a development conference on March 8.

Comleader Information, which has been based in Xiangzhou for 20 years, was listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Science and Technology Innovation Board (STAR Market) on March 15, becoming the first Zhuhai company to be listed this year and first Xiangzhou enterprise to list on the STAR Market.

In the next three years, Xiangzhou aims to cultivate 30 national-level specialized and special new "little giant" and "single champion" enterprises, as well as 60 provincial-level specialized and special new SMEs.

Jinwan is placing priority on developing industries. A growing number of companies , including Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery, Capchem, and Shenzhen Ruiships Semiconductor, have settled in the district with high-quality projects.

Jianfu Pharmaceuticals, invested by Jafron Biomedical, commenced construction on March 29 in Sanzao Town. Focus on the R&D, production, and sales of specialized and biological innovative drugs for nephropathy, liver disease, and critical illness, the company is estimated to generate an annual output value of 5 billion yuan ($786 million).

Also in Zhuhai's west wing, construction of Doumen Intelligent Manufacturing Park has been sped up. Several smart manufacturing projects are underway and estimated to start operation this year, such as those by Shenzhen Dong Sheng Yuan Electrical Equipment, Guangdong Parkoo Electric, and Zhuhai PRM.

To date, Doumen Intelligent Manufacturing Park has welcomed 36 manufacturing projects, with total investment of 23.2 billion yuan ($3.7 billion). Upon operation, they are expected to generate total annual output value of 23.8 billion yuan ($3.7 billion).

In the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan), the 2.5-billion-yuan ($393.8-million) Liando U Valley Digital Smart Manufacturing Industrial Park started construction on March 11, providing strong support for the agglomeration of the local smart manufacturing industry.

The park aims to introduce over 100 companies in the smart manufacturing industrial chains, as well as more than two listed companies, 20 hi-tech enterprises, and 30 companies above designated size, generating estimated annual output value of over 2.8 billion yuan ($441 million).

Service centers for enterprises and talents have been set up by the Hi-Tech Zone to provide convenient services spanning investment attraction to operation and management issues for companies in need.

Two preferential policies for the land use of corporate headquarters are available to attract more high-quality industrial pioneers to Tangjiawan. Enterprises that meet certain requirements will enjoy discounts when purchasing office buildings and reduction in costs.

In addition, the Hezhou Integrated Area is now soliciting public opinions on its new document, which makes it possible for companies to start construction right after getting land use permits. Eligible enterprises are able to receive a reward of up to 10 million yuan ($2 million).
