Tangjiawan hi-tech companies contribute to Winter Olympics
A number of companies from the Zhuhai National Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone (Tangjiawan) have presented a galore of domestic technologies and services to the whole world at the just-concluded Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
Zhuhai Pilot Technology managed to ensure a safe, efficient, reliable, and energy-saving electric consumption environment for the Winter Olympics. It provided a low- and medium-voltage intelligent power transformation and distribution management system for Yanqing Winter Olympic Village and Mountain Media Center as well as monitoring systems for fire prevention.
"Smart" street lamps named "Ice Blade" applied in the games were a patented design by Zhuhai Himon Electronics Technology. The flexible arc-shaped lamp pole is integrated with various internet-based intelligent equipment, such as video and environmental monitors and energy-saving controllers, to provide functions of 5G communication, "smart" lighting, environment monitoring, and security protection.

Zhuhai Dingli Electric Technology was chosen by China Unicom to provide network pressure test instruments. It carried out continuous pressure testing of the network at Winter Olympics venues and uploaded detailed statistics analysis onto a cloud database to help China Unicom adjust network deployment.
These instruments can be used in remote testing and monitoring of mobile network as well as to control 400 to 500 smart phones to stimulate multi-service operating scenarios such as live streaming and sending text messages, WeChat messages, and videos.
Qi-anxin Technology was a sponsor for cybersecurity service and anti-virus software for the games. Based on technologies such as big data architecture, machine learning, and visualization, it helped ensure network security during the Feb 4 opening ceremony.
Zhuhai Ximo Electric provided an integrated professional fire prevention and control solution including emergency lighting and evacuation indication systems customized for the Capital Indoor Stadium.
In addition, ancient ice sports depicted in paintings of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911) collected by the Palace Museum were brought to life thanks to the 3D digital technology of Zhuhai 4DAGE. Stunning ice dancing performances, such as human pyramid and flag waving, shown in the famous painting "Bingxi (Ice Play)" were revived incisively and vividly, allowing netizens countrywide to feel the charms of ancient sports culture.
