Twenty-five key projects came under construction Nov 5 to strengthen Fushan Industrial Park as a printed circuit board (PCB) industrial base with expected output value of more than 100 billion yuan ($15 billion) by 2025.

The projects in Doumen District cover upstream and downstream PCB industrial chains such as copper clad laminates (CCL) and integrated circuit (IC) packaging. They include the high-grade CCL production base of Wazam New Materials, high-density interconnector (HDI) production base of Zhiboxin Technology, multilayer flex and rigid-flex PCB industrialization of Kinwong Electronic, IC packaging substrate of He Mei Jing Yi, and PCB and flexible printed circuit (FPC) development and production base of Shenzhen Fusheng Electronics.

In addition, the first phases of the 3-billion-yuan ($453-million) 5G telecommunication PCB project of Huizhou China Eagle Electronic (CEE) Technology , 3-billion-yuan PCB industrial park of Sun & Lynn Circuits, and 1.68-billion-yuan ($254-million) high-end "intelligentized" PCB indusial base of Founder are among 25 projects that completed construction the same day.

With total investment of 43 billion yuan ($6.5 billion), the 50 projects are to generate output value of 60 billion yuan ($9 billion). Valued at 31 billion yuan ($5 billion), the 21 PCB projects among them should realize output value of 50.4 billion yuan ($7.6 billion).

Fushan Industrial Park is currently home to 66 in-operation PCB enterprises and has become an important carrier as Zhuhai develops the electronic information industry. The park is expected to occupy a quarter of the global market share and become the largest, more concentrated, and professional PCB base in the world with the most complete industrial chain.

Zhuhai Party Chief Guo Yonghang, Mayor Yao Yisheng, and other senior city officials attended the ceremony.
