Logistics hub fulcrums for 2025 are Greater Bay, HZMB
The Development Plan of the Zhuhai Modern Logistics Industry (2020-25) was approved July 9 at an executive meeting of the city government. It presents the city as a national production service-oriented logistics hub by 2025.
The plan depicts the modern logistics industry further developing around opportunities presented by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB), and cross-border e-commerce over the medium and long terms.

An efficient, safe, and orderly modern logistics service system will take form with a reasonable layout, advanced technology, and green concepts. It will have the HZMB at its core, and Zhuhai Port, Zhuhai (Jinwan) Airport, and Guangzhou-Zhuhai Railway as key nodes. It will be supplemented by industry and logistics and professional logistics services.
The plan proposes eight implementation strategies based on Zhuhai-Hong Kong-Macao logistics integration, regional advantages, coordinated development of port logistics, complementary role of aviation logistics, multi-module combined transport, cold-chain logistics, integrated supply chains, and cultivation of leading logistics enterprises with regional competitiveness.
In addition, working mechanisms and policies will be improved to achieve breakthroughs in key areas and accelerated development.
Modern logistics is a fundamental, strategic, and pioneering industry underpinning the development of the national economy. It is characterized by strong horizontal links between different sectors, government departments, and logistics enterprises.
