Baijiao sea bass park on schedule to operate this year
The construction of the 550-mu (37-hactares) Sea Bass Process Park in Baijiao Sea Bass Modern Agriculture Industrial Park will be completed by year end with six aquatic product processing and cold chain logistics projects already slated for settlement.
The projects, which have a total investment of 2 billion yuan ($283 million), include Qiangjing Supply Chain, Lyuxing Cold Chain Logistics Center, and International Fresh Aquatic Product Processing & Trading Center.
They will be served by all-around facilities such as 360,000-sq-m (89-acre) deep-processing plants for aquatic products, low and ultra-low temperature cold storage, and the world's top-level refrigerated trucks.

The storage capacity of the refrigeration houses will reach 180,000 tons, while the aquatic processing capacity will amount to 400,000 tons.
A complete industrial chain will take form under the cooperation modes of "leading agricultural enterprises + cooperatives + farmers" and "enterprises + bases + farmers", explained a Doumen official.
The output value is expected to rise by 2.5 billion yuan ($354 million) annually, contributing 120 million yuan ($17 million) in tax revenue and increasing the per capita income of farmers by more than 20,000 yuan ($2829).
