The Hengqin & Macao Music Carnival promises to electrify Legend Pondo Square on Oct 18 with band performances, Portuguese Folk Dance, culture-creative products, and culinary delicacies to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Macao's return to the motherland.

Bands Ariclan, the Alonso Latin Jazz Quartet, Experience, and Catmachine will bring a musical hodgepodge of electronic, funk, rock and roll, blues, and jazz. The BNS dance team will lead the crowds in a Portuguese Folk Dance parade.

A culture-creative product fair will feature trendy Macao brands including Stardust Journey, Hylé Design Macau, October Fifth Bakery, Zawood, and Worker Playground. Photos can be taken at Goodone's retro photo studio with vintage soft drinks, tiles, and more.

Cozinha Pinocchio, Koo Chun Tong, King Oak Cellar, and Alua e Comidas Portuguesa Kam In, among other eateries, will offer characterized delicacies from Zhuhai and Macao.

The first 500 to send their names and cellphone numbers to WeChat account hengqinxinqu （横琴在线）will win a free ticket, which can be claimed at the on-site ticket office on Oct 18.

Hengqin Legend Pondo (Friendship) Square is at 68 Huandao Road directly across from Hengqin Port and near the University of Macau. It has European-style arcades and palatial decorations, parking for 1,000 cars, a food palace, commercial plaza, restaurants, cinemas, and retail stores.
