Vigorous Macao-Zhuhai entrepreneurs will beef it up
The 2019 Macao-Zhuhai Entrepreneur Summit will be held at the Zhuhai International Convention & Exhibition Center on Oct 21 featuring project signings, keynote speeches, dialogues, roadshows, and business investigations.
More than 1,200 guests have confirmed attendance, including Zhuhai and Macao entrepreneurs, enterprise representatives from Taiwan and Portuguese-speaking countries, and overseas Chinese business representatives.
The plaque for the Guangdong-Macao Cross-Border Financial Cooperation (Zhuhai) Demonstration Zone and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Tourism Education Training Cooperation Center of the Macao Institute for Tourism Studies will be unveiled at the opening ceremony.
Furthermore, the summit will bear witness to the signing of over 18 Zhuhai-Macao cooperation projects worth more than 18.8 billion yuan ($2.6 billion).

Chen Dongsheng, president of Taikang Life, and Su Zhigang, president of Chimelong Group, will be among the heavyweights delivering keynote speeches.
Macao medium and small-sized enterprises, industrial and commercial groups, youth innovation and entrepreneurship representatives, as well as university and college students will join Zhuhai entrepreneurs in five parallel dialogues. The topics relate to youth innovation, characterized finance, cross-border trade, cultural-tourism conventions and exhibitions, and professional services.
The event will be handled by the Zhuhai Bureau of Commerce and Macao Trade & Investment Promotion Institute under the auspices of the Zhuhai Municipal People's Government and Macao Secretariat for Economy & Finance. It is expected to further propel cooperation between Portuguese-speaking countries and Greater Bay Area enterprises.
In recent years, Zhuhai and Macao have made remarkable progress in economic and trade cooperation. As of late September, Zhuhai was home to 4,000 Macao-invested enterprises that brought a total investment of more than $20.8 billion. In the first three quarters of this year, 463 Macao-funded enterprises settled in Zhuhai, accounting for 54.6 percent of the newly settled foreign-funded enterprises in the city.
