CAAC sanctions Lianzhou Airport to open in Doumen
Zhuhai Lianzhou General Aviation Airport opened in Doumen District on March 11, pioneering the city's becoming a comprehensive general aviation demonstration zone and invigorating the aviation industry of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
The Central South Regional Administration of the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) granted the new airport an A1-level General-Purpose Airport Use Permit. This recognizes adequate infrastructure and flight conditions, making it eligible for activities for business aircraft, other than regularly scheduled flights, with more than 10 seats.
The airport now becomes engaged in maritime emergency rescue, flight training, general aviation exhibitions, aircraft assembly, test flights, aerial photography and measurement, disaster monitoring, aircraft maintenance, and private plane refueling and trusteeships.
