The seventh China International Import Expo (CIIE) concluded on Nov 10 after a six-day run, attracting around 10,000 visitors to Hongqiao Pinhui.
Hongqiao Pinhui, also known as the Hongqiao Import Commodities Expo and Trade Center, is located in the Shanghai Hongqiao International Central Business District. It serves as a year-round platform that extends the annual six-day CIIE service to exhibit and trade imported products all year and offers "one-stop" services to transform exhibits into commodities, procurement into trade, and exhibitors into investors.
Leading up to and during the CIIE, Hongqiao Pinhui hosted 57 delegations, including government officials and overseas trade associations. It also welcomed international delegations from Mongolia, Thailand, East Timor, Russia, and Ireland.
During the seventh CIIE, the Hongqiao CBD Bonded Logistics Center (Type B) at Hongqiao Pinhui handled exhibits worth over $28 million from 19 exhibitors across eight countries, including companies like MAYBACH Icon of Luxury GmbH and Mebo. Over 260 consumer products benefited from streamlined processes. Its cross-border e-commerce import business processed approximately 300,000 orders, totaling around 60 million yuan ($8.3 million).
