Inner Mongolia promotes cultural, tourism products in Shandong
A launching ceremony for the 2022 Inner Mongolia and Shandong Tourism Promotion Event was held in Qingdao, a coastal city in East China's Shandong province, on Aug 21, which aimed at deepening cooperation between the two places, and promoting their own cultural and tourism products.
Qin Yan, secretary of the leading Party members group of Inner Mongolia's Department of Culture and Tourism, said during a speech at the launching ceremony that Shandong and Inner Mongolia are sharing the Yellow River, and the two places have established close ties in the past decades. The event is expected to promote the "Friendly Shandong" tourism brand in Inner Mongolia.
Zhang Mingchi, deputy director of the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that Shandong and Inner Mongolia boast similar folk customs and cultures, and they have very similar cultural and tourism resources.
Zhang added that Inner Mongolia has signature delicacies such as roasted lamb, instant-boiled mutton, finger mutton and milk tea, as well as rich tourism resources including the Mausoleum of Genghis Khan, and natural grasslands.
Zhang also sent a sincere invitation to people from Inner Mongolia to gain a deeper understanding of Shandong's profound cultural heritages and experience Shandong's rich cultural and tourism resources.
The event featured Inner Mongolia's diverse cultural resources - prairies, forests, deserts, and ice and snow, showcasing unique tourism products from Inner Mongolia.
