Jinan Cultural Center (Jinan Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection Center) was established in 1956 and is affiliated with Jinan Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television and Press. It is a government-funded public cultural utility and a national grade one cultural center.
As a leading mass culture organization in Jinan, the center hosts cultural activities, charitable training programs, exhibitions and lectures on the arts, guides the construction of amateur literary and artistic teams, instructs and cultivates amateur literary and artistic mainstays, organizes and guides the creation of literary and artistic works, carries out exchanges and theoretical research on mass cultural work, collects, collates, inherits and protects intangible cultural heritage and folk cultural arts.
It also offers public digital cultural information services and promotes free access to public cultural facilities throughout the year.
Booming mass cultural activities are a major part of local culture and the Jinan Cultural Center, located in the capital city’s art and cultural center, is a platform for all kinds of exhibitions and performances.
With floorage of 16,000 square meters, the center houses a theater, a multifunction hall, and exhibition halls for art exchanges, intangible heritage, a rehearsal hall, a recording studio, a film studio, a music room and a classroom.
The center has grown into a public cultural complex that offers shows, exhibitions, training programs and lectures to residents in Jinan.
