The world's largest dragon-head centipede kite made its debut at the 38th Weifang International Kite Festival in Weifang, Shandong province on April 18.

The kite, which is 280 meters long, was flown by more than 50 people.

The giant kite features a dragon head that measures 4.2 m in height and 3.6 m in width.

The dragon is an auspicious creature that symbolizes strength and wisdom in Chinese culture. The dragon-head centipede kite is representative of Weifang's traditional hand-made kites and has been listed as a national intangible cultural heritage item.
