Jinan hosts joint calligraphy and painting exhibition
The joint exhibition spotlighting the past six editions of the Qilu Culture Calligraphy and Painting Conference opened at the Shandong Provincial Cultural Center on Jan 1 in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.
The three-day event was open to the public for free, with more than 12,000 works on exhibition, covering paintings, calligraphy, photography, and other art mediums.
The exhibited works mainly depict the prosperous cities and beautiful countryside of China, as well as laud the country's efforts in its fight against the COVID-19 pandemic and its efforts to build a moderately well-off society in an all-round way.
The event, supported by the Shandong Artists Association, the Shandong Calligraphers Association, and the Shandong Provincial Cultural Center, was designed to serve as a cultural exchange platform, as well as to promote the preservation, innovation, and development of fine traditional Chinese culture.
