The 2020 Shandong Tourism Development Conference will open on Sept 16 in Jinan, capital of Shandong province.

To better promote Shandong's cultural and tourism resources, the conference will be held in conjunction with the first China Cultural and Tourism Expo and a large-scale symphony concert entitled "Yellow River Flows into the Sea".

Organized by the Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, the conference will consist of a series of activities to promote the "Friendly Shandong" tourism brand and a variety of tourism routes in Shandong.

According to the organizing committee, Liu Jiayi, Party secretary of Shandong, will issue electronic certificates to the "Confucius Culture and Tourism Ambassadors" and representatives of the province's outstanding overseas tourism partners.

Officials from Shandong and its cities will also promote local tourism and culture at the conference.

The Shandong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism will also sign cooperation agreements with domestic internet giants Tencent and Alibaba and online travel agency Ctrip.
