How to enjoy New Year's fun in Zhangjiagang

Zhangjiagang has rolled out a diverse array of activities spanning culture, tourism, performances, exhibitions, and sports during the 2026 New Year's Day holiday, inviting residents and visitors alike to embrace the festive atmosphere and enjoy endless winter delights. 

Fun activities   

The Suzhou Jiangnan Farming Culture Park launches a New Year-themed event featuring five categories of activities, including intangible cultural heritage performances and nostalgic markets. Meanwhile, Jiyang Lake Amusement Park opens its snow-themed park starting Jan 1, offering fun with snowman building and snowball fights. 

Adding to the excitement, Zhangjiagang Jinmao Lanxiu City and Shopping Park host a series of immersive events during New Year's Eve and the subsequent holiday period, such as the drone show and fire dance performance, crafting a vibrant festive vibe.

Sports activities 

The holiday also brims with dynamic sports activities. Events like Zhangjiagang Table Tennis Invitational Tournament, New Year's Day Fitness Walk, and Winter Swimming Competition ignite enthusiasm among participants, promoting active lifestyles. 

Meanwhile, Random Play Dance and the Children's Street Dance Competition captivate younger audiences, adding a contemporary flair to the festivities. 

Cultural exhibitions 

A rich cultural feast will be unfolding throughout the holiday. The Zhangjiagang Museum presents "The Kaleidoscope of the Yangtze River – The Billowing River and the Prosperous Jiangnan" exhibition, showcasing the region's rich heritage through a variety of artifacts. 

The Zhangjiagang Art Gallery displays the Rhyme of Water joint calligraphy exhibition, featuring works from the four regions of Zhangjiagang, Kunshan, Changshu, and Jiangyin, highlighting local culture through innovative installations and artistic expressions.
