The signing ceremony for an intelligent packaging equipment manufacturing project, with a total investment of 500 million yuan ($70.86 million), was held in Zhangjiagang on Dec 9.
The project, funded by Pai Group, centers on the research, development, and manufacturing of premium packaging machinery. Once fully developed and operational, it is expected to enable mass production of intelligent manufacturing and integrated packaging solutions, with an anticipated annual output value of 500 million yuan.
In recent years, Zhangjiagang has made significant advancements in the high-end, intelligent, and green development of its equipment manufacturing industry, with the goal of accelerating the growth of a high-end equipment industrial cluster with a trillion-level scale.
Zhang Xing, chairman of Pai Group, said that Zhangjiagang benefits from a favorable geographical location, comprehensive industrial support, and an excellent business environment. Pai Group aims to establish the project as a leading domestic intelligent packaging equipment R&D and manufacturing base, contributing to Zhangjiagang's high-quality economic and social development.
