A launch ceremony to welcome a tour by leading poets, calligraphers and painters to Taizhou city in Jiangsu province took place on April 3 at the Zhengbanqiao Memorial Hall in Xinghua city, which is administered by Taizhou.
Over 30 contemporary poets, calligraphers and painters from the China Artists Association, the China Calligraphers Association and the Chinese Poetry Society were invited to participate in the event.

Lu Cairong, chairman of the China Artists Association, also born in Xinghua, told the ceremony that the collaboration of poetry, calligraphy, and painting masters in Taizhou would leave a significant mark in the cultural history of China in the current year.
He believed that in the next few days, the scenes seen in Taizhou would inspire artists to create more beautiful and excellent literary works.
Starting from April 2, some renowned oil painters and famous poets began creating art in places such as the Qianduo Cole Flower Scenic Area and Shagou town in Xinghua.
The art celebrities will also go to the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy Birthplace Memorial Hall, the Taizhou Mei Lanfang Memorial Museum, Wanghai Pavilion, Qinhu Lake and other places to create works.
