China International Import Expo attracts global industry giants
Twenty two industry giants from France, the United States, Denmark, Ukraine, and other countries and regions inked deals with the China International Import Expo Bureau on April 2.
The companies will display their innovative technologies and latest products at the expo.
French leading engine manufacturer Moteurs Baudouin, US-based intelligent warehousing and logistics system solution provider DEMATIC, and hi-tech material researcher and producer Dow Chemical will debut at the intelligent and high-end equipment exhibition area.
Renowned American water heater manufacturer A. O. Smith and Japan's gas appliance maker Noritz will be available at the consumer electronics and household appliances exhibition area.
The garment and daily consumer goods exhibition area will welcome the world's well-known cosmetic company L'oreal Paris.
The food and agricultural products exhibition area will be home to Denmark's dairy company Arla, Australia's organic food brand for infants Bellamy, Ukraine's confectionery manufacturer Roshen, and New Zealand's infant formula and soymilk products manufacturer Yashili.
The head of Arla's global milk powder department said that the launch of CIIE is a significant move of the Chinese government to firmly support free trade and economic globalization and to open Chinese markets to the world. The move will contribute to the development of an open world economy.
He believed that China is a huge market for dairy products and expected to bring Denmark's products to China and satisfy Chinese people's needs via the expo.
The China International Import Expo, to take place in Shanghai from Nov 5 to 10, is the first of its kind and seeks to further open up the Chinese market to the world.
By the end of March, more than 1,600 companies from over 120 countries and regions had signed up for the expo.
