July 10, 2009 - The Administrative Committee of Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District (CBD) is set up after gaining approval from the Shanghai Municipal Government.

Shen Jun is elected director of the committee, Xue Quanrong is appointed as the executive deputy director, while Lin Guixiang and Bao Tieming take office as deputy directors.

Oct 30, 2009 - The opening ceremony of the Administrative Committee of Shanghai Hongqiao CBD takes place. Han Zheng, deputy Party secretary and Shanghai mayor, inaugurates the committee. Shen Jun, deputy mayor of Shanghai and director of the administrative committee delivers a speech at the ceremony. 

Jan 4, 2010 - The Administrative Measures of Shanghai Hongqiao Central Business District is approved at the 66th executive meeting of Shanghai Municipal Government.

Jan 28-29, 2010 - The promotion fair of Phase I of the core area for Shanghai Hongqiao CBD is held at the Xijiao State Guest Hotel, Shanghai.

Jan 31, 2011 - The office of the Administrative Committee of Shanghai Hongqiao CBD relocates to the Public Affairs Building of Hongqiao Central Business District at No 33, Shenhong Road.

May 27, 2011 - The administrative committee is approved to establish the Corporate Service Division and Policy and Regulation Division. The committee has eight divisions, mainly for the transportation coordination, planning administration, development and construction, comprehensive management and commercial development of Hongqiao CBD.

Dec 26, 2011- Ground is broken on the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).
