A walkway 600 meters long and one meter wide for admiring aircraft has been established at the Hongqiao Central Business District by following the idea of greening.

Such walkways have become unique sightseeing destinations in many metropolises since the attractive views surrounding their airports are suitable for watching planes rise to the sky or descend to the airport.

The path at the Hongqiao CBD was built over a local harbor. In order to present agreeable surroundings to local residents, the river running under the corridor, now clearer after being dredged, was connected to neighboring rivers and a footpath and platforms were erected on both its banks.
