Thanks to the rapid development of the plastics industry in China in recent years, Chinaplas's exhibition area has increased from 180,000 square meters in 2011 to 250,000 square meters with an additional 900 exhibitors in 2017.

Liang Yaqi, general manager of Chinaplas's sponsor, Adsale Exhibition Services Company, revealed that the exhibition has faced a shortage of display area since 2012.

"In order to house more and more exhibitors, moving to the NECC is quite beneficial to the development of Chinaplas in the long term," Liang said.

The general manager also said that a new exhibition area means a new departure for Chinaplas and that the exhibits, activities and onsite services are sure to bring a brand new experience to the plastics industry.

Chinaplas was initiated in 1983 and approved by the Union of International Fairs in 2006. The exhibition now has developed into the leading exhibition of plastics and rubber industries in Asia second globally only to the expo held in Dusseldorf, Germany.
