Hong Pavilion EH is the second largest indoor venue in Shanghai that regularly hosts large-scale cultural performances; its size is exceeded only by the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Pudong New Area. It has hosted several celebrity concerts and set up the first opera culture platform in the country to introduce overseas music festival performers.

The venue covers an area of nearly 10,000 square meters with about 8,000 seats. After a trial operation begun in August, it is scheduled to start operations by the end of 2017, and is anticipated to host approximately 100 performances and 50 high-end conferences every year.
