Yang Jie, president of Shanghai New Hongqiao International Medical Center, expressed his expectations of the hospital project placing great importance on the role of private hospitals in areas of limited public medical resources.

Yang Jianyu, CEO of Concord Medical Services Holdings, Stephen Hahn, executive director and chief operating officer of MD Anderson Cancer Center and Sean Stein, consul general of the US in Shanghai, addressed the unveiling ceremony. Local officials from the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Health and Family Planning, the Hongqiao CBD Administrative Committee and the Minhang government were also in attendance.
